Raised in Dartmouth and based in Clare, Peach on a beach (aka Larry Peach) is an emerging Nova Scotia electronic artist creating nostalgic vibes.

During the pandemic Larry purchased a keyboard to learn his favourite synth riffs from the 1980s. After a few months he invested in more equipment and started writing original material.

​

Inspired by new wave, synth pop, hip hop, and comedy rock, his musical influences include The B-52s, Barenaked Ladies, Beastie Boys, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Dr. Seuss, John Carpenter, New Order, Pet Shop Boys and The Cure.

Debut single "Beeping and Bleeping" is about growing up in video arcades during the golden age of the early 80s. Second single "Pizza Corner", a hip-hop tribute to late nights spent at the iconic Halifax landmark during the 1990s, also reached #1 on CIOE 97.5 on May 20/23. Music video: https://youtu.be/udBlzQvE4i4

Flashbacks is the debut album by Peach on a beach, a whimsical collection of eight hip-hop and electronic tracks about growing up as a teen in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. 1980s nostalgia with an East Coast twist. Flashbacks was released online in late June and in CD format in late July 2023.

​

Peach released "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" online on December 1. He is working on demos for new singles and a second album releasing in 2024.

 

Did You Know? Larry works full-time as the tourism manager for the Municipality of Clare and marketing coordinator for Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie, the largest cycling event in Atlantic Canada.
